Method 1: Custom Shape Tool
Open Photoshop and start a new document first. Select the Custom Shape Tool from the Tools palette after that. Then, from the settings menu, select the star form such as the 5-point white star.
Click and drag on your document to draw your star. Hold the Shift key down while clicking and dragging to adjust the size of your star. The default fill color is white, you can change the color to any color you like.
Method 2: Polygon Tool
The Polygon Tool in Photoshop can also be used to create star shapes. You may make any kind of polygon with this tool, including stars.
Select the Polygon Tool from the toolbar to start using it. You can either click on the canvas to change the polygon’s number of sides to 5.
Method 3: Pen Tool
In Photoshop, you can also make a star shape by using the Pen Tool. Any shape, even a star, can be made using this tool. Select the Pen Tool from the Tools panel to start using it.
While clicking on your document, hold down the Shift key and add anchor points to your shape. The Fill and Stroke commands in the Edit menu can be used to add color or texture after your object has been produced. The Layer Styles dialog box can also be used to add effects.
Saving the Star Shape in Photoshop
To save custom shapes, select the Custom Shape Tool on the toolbox, Click the Shape list arrow to see a list of the current shapes, create new shapes, and then add them to the current list.
To add preexisting shapes, click the Options button, and then click Load Shapes, or choose from the available predefined shape lists. Click the options button, and then click Save Shapes.
