Step 1.
Select the bitmap image that you want to change the colour of with the arrow tool. For this example I am using a imported .png file with transparancy.

Step 2.
Choose the Paintbrush tool from the toolbar.

Step 3.
Select the colour you want the bitmap to be by selecting the stroke colour.

Step 4.
In the properties panel check the preserve transparency box.

Step 5.
Paint over the bitmap image with the brush tool.
